      Scholarship Programs

The South Carolina Association of Heating and Air Conditioning Contractors (SCAHACC) will provide limited assistance for South Carolina students who wish to pursue a career in the heating and air conditioning industry. The objective of the scholarship fund is to provide assistance for formal education for the employees and/or family of contractor members.

Scholarship Application

Scholarship funds will be provided up to a maximum of $500 for tuition and books. Funds will be paid to the institution for tuition and books only. It is the student's responsibility to provide SCAHACC with appropriate bills and documentation for payment. No funds will be paid to the student directly.

The SCAHACC Scholarship Committee will review all applications and make recommendations to the Board of Directors. To remain eligible, participating students must maintain an overall grade point average of 2.5 and a grade point average of 3.0 in all major topics.

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, students must provide a written letter of recommendation from a contractor member in good standing with SCAHACC. The student must also be pursuing active employment in the heating and air conditioning industry after graduation.

Requirements and/or qualifications may be added or deleted by the SCAHACC Board of Directors as they deem necessary. The scholarship is not granted for more than one semester at a time; however, applicants are encouraged to apply as often as they wish.

Once an application has been received, it will remain on file and in contention until all funds have been expended. Applicants will receive letters of notification once his or her application has been either declined or approved.

Students in degreed programs will receive preference.
